Prof. Laleli was graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at University of Istanbul in 1964. He got his specialization in Biochemistry area in the Faculty of Medicine in Hacettepe University (1964-1967). He studied as a research assistant and following that, worked as an instructor in Nuclear Medicine at The John Hopkins Hospital between the years 1968 and 1971. After returning to Turkey, he advanced his academic formation as an Associate Professor in Biochemistry at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1972. He got his professorship at Nuclear Medicine in Faculty of Medicine in Hacettepe University in 1977 and that of Biochemistry at Fatih University in 1997. He conducted his knowledge as a part time lecturer in Radiobiology Department at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in the year of 1983 and meanwhile at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine until 1984. Prof. Laleli attended to lectures as a part time visiting professor in Radiobiology and Nuclear Medicine at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine from 1986 till 1992. He has worked as Consultant to Biochemistry Laboratory in Istanbul International Hospital in Istanbul and in Nuclear Medicine to the Turkish Ministry of Health.
Prof. Laleli has more than fifty seven international publications, paid contributions with some chapters to 3 internationally published books. He paid constructive and pioneering contributions on the way of improving the Nuclear Medicine and Radioimmunoassay studies in Turkey. He is the founder and the director of Duzen Laboratories Group dealing with clinical diagnostic tests, research, and control and development studies in clinical applications and also Duzen-Norwest, food and environment laboratory together which the health services were started to be provided nationally and internationally. Clinical Laboratory concepts, standards in health services, quality assurance definitions and interlaboratory exchange programs were introduced by the vigorous and supporting attributions of Prof. Laleli in Turkey.
Prof. Laleli established the Laleli Olive and Olive Oil Establishment in 1998 that has left from the early generation of the Laleli family by combining the experience in the health sector and the family roots concentrated in olive oil business. Laleli's establishment is located around Edremit Bay in the northern part of Aegean See on west cost of Anatolia.
In addition, he took volunteer memberships from professional foundations with social activities nationally and internationally. Through the national improvement of Turkey, he has paid considerable attention to educational charity institutions believing that education is the indispensable element for the improving nations.
He is currently the Chief Editor of Turkish Journal of Biochemistry, Board member of Turkish Education Foundation, Member of Advisory Committee of International Olive Oil Council, member of 65 + Elder Rights Association and Human Resource Development Foundation. He is an active member of the following societies: American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC), College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Society for Clinical Science, New York Academy of Sciences, National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards, The Association of Clinical Biochemistry, National Osteoporosis Foundation, Turkish Biochemistry Society, Association for Prevention of Hepatitis (Founding member), Ankara Branch of Turkish Association of AIDS Control and Prevention (Founding member and ex-director), Turkish Olive Friends Society, Turkish Organic Agriculture Society.

Alper Karakaya, Graduated from Biochemistry. He holds MSc and PhD degrees from biotechnology. He has been working for the DUZEN company as biotechnologist since the beginning of 2008. He studied on “investigation of the biological treatment of olive mill wastewater by Rhodotorula glutinis and Debaryomyces hansenii yeasts” during his master's studies, and on “Production of Value-Added Products from Liquid Byproduct of Olive Oil Processing Plants by means of Biotechnological Processes” for PhD studies. Currently he is the coordinator and work package leader of an era-net Cobiotech (h2020) project named Biovalorization Of Olive Mill Wastewater to Microbial Lipids and Other Products via Rhodotorula glutinis Fermentation (RHODOLIVE ID 12). He is also responsible for production of fermentation products as wine, vinegar and beer and developing natural cosmetic products at DUZEN company.
